Eleven answers,
one bottle.
Everything we get asked about delivery, freshness, ingredients, and why on earth okra. If we missed something, call (562) 728-6632 and we'll add it.
What is Okra Boost?
An 8-ounce, blended wellness drink built around okra mucilage — the soft, soluble fiber inside the pod. We've been blending it in Long Beach since 2017. It comes in five flavors: Original, Lemon, Ginger, Beetroot, and Ginseng-Lemon.
Where do you deliver?
Inside a 15-mile radius around Long Beach (90805). That covers Long Beach, Lakewood, Bellflower, Paramount, Signal Hill, Compton, Carson, Downey, Norwalk, Cerritos, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Drop your address into the checker on the homepage to confirm you're in range and see your exact zone and fee.
How does the zone delivery pricing work?
Three zones, three flat fees. Zone 1 (0–5 miles): $3. Zone 2 (5–10 miles): $6. Zone 3 (10–15 miles): $9. The closer you are, the less you pay — that's the deal.
When do you deliver?
Once a week — Monday, 8AM–5PM. We batch once a week for maximum freshness, so the next available delivery rolls forward when needed. You pick your slot at checkout, and we text a heads-up before we arrive.
Why a 5-bottle minimum?
It's the smallest order that makes a refrigerated delivery worth the run — and we want you drinking it multiple times a week. Five bottles is where we draw the line. The minimum is for delivery only: if you pick up at the Saturday farmers market, there's no minimum — grab as little as one bottle.
How long do the bottles stay fresh?
Ten days from blend date — stamped on every label. We blend each week and deliver Monday, so your bottles are only a day or two old on arrival. Refrigerate them the second we drop them.
Do they need to be refrigerated?
Yes. Always. These are blended, no-preservative bottles — we treat them like fresh juice. We can't leave them at your door because they won't last outside, so we hand them to you cold, and they go straight into your fridge.
Is there caffeine in Okra Boost?
No. Okra Boost isn't an energy drink — it's a wellness drink. The Ginseng-Lemon variant has American ginseng (an adaptogen, not a stimulant), but none of the five bottles contain caffeine.
Is Okra Boost safe for diabetics or people watching blood sugar?
We're not a medical product, but okra has a long, well-studied history of supporting blood-sugar stability. Our Original is essentially zero added sugar. Plenty of our regulars are Type 1 and Type 2 — but check with your endocrinologist before adding anything new to your routine.
Can I order for my office?
Absolutely — just build a bigger order (the 5-bottle minimum still applies) and we'll hand-deliver to your office front desk on Monday. We can invoice you on request. Call (562) 728-6632 or email info@okraboost.com and we'll set it up.
What if I'm outside the 15-mile radius?
We're slowly pushing the line out further every quarter. Drop your email on the delivery page and we'll wave when we're close — or come find us at the Farmers Market in the meantime.
